The 3 Struggles of Women and Working Out

You know what we hear all the time from women?

“Ugh… why is working out so hard to stick to?”

And honestly… we get it. Staying active sounds simple until you are trying to do it while life is pulling you in ten different directions.

So let us talk about the big struggles women deal with. The real ones. Not the cute ones people post on social media. We mean the actual stuff that makes a workout feel like climbing a mountain.

1. The whole energy thing… it keeps changing

Some days you wake up ready to crush a workout. Other days… your body is like “nope, try again tomorrow”. And most women think something is wrong with them when this happens. But nope… it is totally normal.

There is real science on this too. Studies show women’s energy and strength shift through the month because of hormones. So if you feel strong one week and kind of slow the next… that is not in your head. It is just your body doing its thing.

Add work, kids, long days, bad sleep, everything… and yeah, the energy tank empties fast.

We always tell women… do the workout that matches the day. Some days it is heavy lifting. Some days it is stretching on the floor in your PJs. Both count.

2. Feeling like you have to “look perfect”

This one hurts because so many women deal with it quietly. Everywhere you look, someone is showing a “perfect body”, and it makes a lot of women feel like they are not doing enough. Or not doing it right. Or not built the “ideal” way.

A big study from the American Psychological Association showed that many women feel bad about their bodies because of all these expectations. It is no joke. It gets in the way of working out, big time.

And what happens next?

Women start second-guessing themselves.

Should I even go to the gym?

What if people stare?

What if I am doing it wrong?

It makes fitness feel scary when it should feel safe.

We remind women that working out should be about feeling better, not shrinking your waist or hitting some random “look”. You deserve workouts that build confidence… not pressure.

3. No time. And honestly… no energy to create time

Ask any woman, “Why did you miss your workout?”

The answer is always the same: “No time”.

Between work, kids, house chores, family stuff, trying to squeeze in five minutes for yourself… yeah, it is tough. Very tough.

But a fun little fact… the CDC says even short bursts of movement help. 10 minutes here, 15 minutes there. Walks. Quick bodyweight sets. Moving around the house. It all adds up.

Women do not need long gym sessions. They need short things that fit into a day that already feels full.

We see so many women finally stay consistent once the pressure drops and they switch to workouts that feel doable instead of overwhelming.

Women are tough… they just need fitness that fits their life

Most women are not lacking discipline. They are lacking time, energy, and routines that do not judge them. When the plan actually matches their real life… everything changes. Their confidence. Their mood. Their strength. Even their stress levels.

And if you want help building something that feels like your routine…

That is kind of our thing at Trainador.
